Come “Party Hawaii” Pacific Home Hosts Book Signing
Acclaimed Hawaii author Kaui Philpotts will be appearing at Pacific Home on November 7 to chat about and sign her newly released book, Party Hawaii. For those who love to wine and dine or just aspire to host in style, this is a first-of-its-kind book focusing on the unique aspects of throwing a party in Hawaii in 2007. The hardcover, full-color book, in bookstores and on sale at Pacific Home beginning October 15, provides hints on everything from dining outdoors to throwing a personalized party at a restaurant. The book, published by Mutual Publishing, is complete with plans; recipes; sample food and drink menus; timelines; priceless tips; and fabulous photography by Kaz Tanabe and David Franzen.
While at Pacific Home, Ms. Philpotts will share insight about putting together a book that features nine parties, created by the author, her friends and family, ranging from an office baby shower to a Chinese New Year celebration. The author will talk with us about how the book illustrates these occasions while exploring Hawaii’s uniqueness and traditions.
“It’s all about today in Hawaii and how we entertain. We bring together traditions from the past, mixing different cultures but with a forward style – sophisticated, casual. Think drinking lychee martinis barefoot on the lanai,” says Ms. Philpotts.
Enjoy complimentary wine, soft drinks, and light pupu while browsing through Party Hawaii: A Guide to Entertaining in the Islands at Pacific Home.
