Hawaiian House Now Book Signing

154
Malia Mattoch-McManus, Linny Morris, and Jeanjean Bower, will be appearing at Pacific Home on Thursday, December 6 to discuss and sign their new book, Hawaiian House Now, released just in time for the holidays.

Hawaiian House Now honors our diverse architectural influences as they melded with the traditional Hawaiian ambiance to produce Hawaii’s informal eclectic style, and a sense of relaxation. The book, written by Ms. Mattoch-McManus, explores 21 unique homes located throughout Oahu, the Big Island, Maui, and Kauai and photographed by Linny Morris (Jeanjean Bower acted as project coordinator).

While at Pacific Home, Ms. Morris will share moments that moved her to photographically capture dramatic oceanfront homes and old beach cottages, as well as homes in Palolo Valley to those situated on Haleakala – while highlighting the striking landscapes of the Hawaiian Islands. The Hawaiian House Now is Ms. Morris’s sixth book about interiors and architecture. The artist and photographer is a native of Honolulu.

Also from Honolulu, the author, Ms. Mattoch-McManus, is the host of the television program, Entertaining in Paradise. Malia Mattoch-McManus, will discuss the synthesis between indoor and outdoor living spaces which makes these 21 homes, and true Hawaiian architecture, unique.

The 192-page, hardcover book with more than 200 color images is available at Pacific Home (Abrams Publishing House, $40). The Hawaiian House Now is the perfect inspiration to transform your own Pacific home into a peaceful sanctuary suited to your contemporary lifestyle.
