Perks from Pacific Home - First Year Anniversary Celebration

Honolulu, Hawaii, July 1, 2005. Pacific Home’s dynamic design duo, Aubrey Yee and Jennifer Johnson, celebrate a successful first year of business this August. Since the local business owners opened Pacific Home in August 2004 at 1115 Young Street in upper Kakaako, behind the Safeway parking lot, they continue to generate positive attention. Pacific Home, with its innovative concepts in retail and design, offers stylish home furnishings and accessories inspired by the unique flair of the Pacific Islands.

When asked what’s in store for year two, Jennifer Johnson replied, “Free design demonstrations – we’re calling it Pacific Home’s StyleIn. Pacific Home will be hosting monthly free hands-on demonstrations or lectures with experts in the field of design and style. The StyleIns will offer a relaxed evening with complimentary wine, soft drinks and light pupu while we all become experts in styling our Pacific Homes.”

The first Pacific Home StyleIn happens Wednesday evening, August 10, by Dave Staub of Tropical Garden Accents. “The Art of Container Gardening” is a free hands-on demonstration hosted by Pacific Home. Attendees will learn how to combine colors, textures, and to make indoor and outdoor ceramic containers come alive as home accents. The program runs from 5:30 - 7 p.m. and is open to the public.

“It is so unusual to have a business be successful in the first year and I can truly say that it is because we have found an undeveloped niche in the market. In addition to being Hawaii’s exclusive retailer for Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams’ furniture, we have unique items from around the world, especially from the Pacific Rim and locally, that fit the Pacific Home decorating style,” added Ms. Yee.

The concept of Pacific Home is the brainchild of these two women entrepreneurs.
