Pacific Home Announces New Business Partner: Jamie Jackson
04/10/2006
( Honolulu, Hawaii )… Pacific Home announces Jamie Jackson as a new partner in its home furnishings business. Ms. Jackson joins Jennifer Johnson and Aubrey Morgan-Yee as the third partner at the locally owned-and-operated retail store. The announcement comes as part of Pacific Home’s expansion plans that included moving to a larger retail space at 420 Ward Avenue.
“The expansion is all about better serving our customers,” says Ms. Morgan-Yee, “and Jamie is a perfect fit for our ever-growing client base. We certainly know our clients will appreciate and benefit from Jamie’s skills and expertise as a designer.”
Ms. Jackson, an interior designer, will lead a new area at Pacific Home where customers who want help in the art of designing their own homes will have access to a full-service interior designer. Most recently, Jamie Jackson headed up her own Hawaii-based company, BooBam Design. Her exceptional design talents have taken her all over the world resulting in an award-winning design of a New York City SoHo restaurant; a resort hotel at St. Thomas in the Caribbean; numerous private homes from lofts in New York City’s Tribeca area to modern high-rise condominiums in Honolulu; and from Malibu to our Neighbor Islands, including the private home of director/actor Ben Stiller and his wife, Christine Taylor.
“A designer to celebrities with homes on Oahu and Kauai, Jamie has lived in Hawaii for almost ten years. She has an instinctive knowledge of our Island lifestyles that carries through in her work, creating a harmonious Pacific home environment,” explains Ms. Johnson.
Ms. Jackson’s background is as varied as her work. A graduate from Northwestern University with a degree in theater and fine arts, she went on to build quite an accomplished resume as an actress. She has also been a co-owner of Jackson-Arnold, a couture fashion company; a designer and wholesaler of silk clothing; as well as a conceptual artist.
“I like to think of myself as a Renaissance person,” explains Ms. Jackson, “design is all about eye, taste and experience. I have lived and traveled all over the world – Italy, Paris, Australia, China and Indonesia – my travels and my work experience in all aspects of design have enriched my ability to design for any client or for any style needed. I am very excited to offer my design skills to our growing Pacific Home ohana.”
