Pacific Home seeks new Frontier - New Store to open in West Oahu

02/17/2009

(Honolulu, Hawaii)… Pacific Home’s owners, successful pioneers in Hawaii’s home furnishings industry, are marking out new territory once again. The locally-owned and all-female operated business is expanding its Honolulu retail operations by opening a second store in West Oahu. The new, almost 1,000 square foot store, adjacent to Target at Kapolei Commons, is scheduled to open March 4, 2009. Pacific Home will maintain its current location on Ward Avenue as well as its e-business.

“We saw an untapped market and we know we can meet the demands of the residents living on the Ewa side and on the North Shore of Oahu,” explains co-owner Aubrey Yee. “Even in a downturned economy, we are noticing that people still are seeking to buy home furnishings that fit their Pacific lifestyle.”

“We will be offering our top-selling items at the new location,” adds Jennifer Johnson, co-owner of Pacific Home. “Companies like Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams make timeless, high-quality pieces that are still affordable.”

In addition to best-sellers such as the Alex, Clifton and Dr. Pitt sofas from Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, customers will be able to select styles at the new Pacific Home that are from well-known furnishing brands: JANUS et Cie, Carina Sherlock, Bungalow 5, and Chilewich.

“The greatest point about this new location for Pacific Home is convenience for customers. Those who live on the Ewa side will now have a showroom near them where they can have hands-on access to textures, colors and fabrics,” says Jamie Jackson, who also is Design Director of Pacific Home Studio, the interior-design arm of Pacific Home.

Kapolei Commons, currently under construction, is a 610,000 square-foot, open–air retail center. Pacific Home will join other retailers including Target, OfficeMax, Petco, Sports Authority, and Ross Dress for Less, as well as a 15-screen Regal Cinema multiplex.

Pacific Home offers stylish home furnishings and accessories inspired by the unique flair of the Pacific Islands. The design-driven environment combines the strengths of quality, imported, exotic merchandise with the newest, sharpest trends in U.S. brands of home furnishings. The Kapolei Commons location and the 420 Ward Avenue store will be open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.; and Sundays 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information, visit: www.pacific-home.com or call 596-9338.
